Bugs & Sparks, a subsidiary of Express Holdings, provides inspections and compliance certificates in areas of Water, WOD (beetle), Electric and Gas. The team behind the screen, ensuring that the appointments are made and problems are resolved, is vibrant and diverse.
Express Marketing wanted to feature the ‘unseen’ parts of the Bugs & Sparks team on their Instagram feed, breaking away from the typical visual style of the industrial service industry. No more text-heavy, AI-generated and over-styled imagery, but rather showcase images of the busy administration in their daily office tasks and of the technicians as they complete their inspections.
Many of these images are taken of homes in transition as they are being sold on to welcome new life. This offers a unique visual opportunity, as we get to see the last time that the houses host some of the furniture, artwork, and compliance headaches of previous owners/tenants.

Task: Reduce previous imagery and reels, create a new visual language that works alongside daily activities.
